Memory Rediscovered
This label was inspired by Mnemosyne, the Greek goddess of memory. In traditional representations, she is often shown carrying an oil lamp. To communicate the flavor profile of the ale, here she’s shown holding a peach and flowering vanilla bean.
Biere Ovale
I used art-nouveau inspired typography and gold foil to create a label that feels equal parts elegant and funky.
A Note on Naming
Our Mutual Friend brewed Camion Rouillé in collaboration with The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company. They wanted a name that would capture the rustic, southern charm of Texas as well as the French origin of saisons.
We settled on “Camion Rouillé” which means rusty truck in French.
